“For Karabakh” is a community of Azerbaijani artists, musicians, writers, poets, and friends of Azerbaijan wishing to restore a peaceful world in Karabakh through various initiatives, programs, and artistic contributions and gifts. There has never been a greater need for such unity and solidarity.
On November 10, Azerbaijan declared victory ending the 30-year-long occupation in Karabakh. As a result, nearly one million Azerbaijani citizens could return to their ancestral homes from which they were displaced between 1988 and 1994.
Unfortunately, as a result of the 44-day war, severe injuries and significant fatalities occurred among civilians, children, and the military. Fallen warriors left behind families, kids, even pregnant wives, the regretful and tragic side of warfare. Moreover, after the war, a catastrophic consequence to Azerbaijan’s cultural heritage in Karabakh was discovered.
Saddened by these ramifications, Azerbaijanis worldwide decided to show their unity and solidarity in support of families of fallen servicemen, injured soldiers, and orphaned children. Along with that, they felt compelled to render assistance in the restoration of Karabakh’s historical monuments, tangible and intangible cultural heritage. People felt united as never before, wishing to join their voices in restoring the region’s peace and harmony. Thus, the community of “For Karabakh” was hatched.
